Forty Hawkesbury households can each get up to 10 square metres of asbestos fibro removed by Council for free, but you must register by April 14.
Council is taking on the burden in partnership with the Western Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils and the NSW EPA.
The collection will be strictly limited to the first 40 complete and eligible applications received.
Collections will be carried out by licensed asbestos removal contractors in the week of May 15-19.
Successful applicants will receive a phone call and confirmation email by April 21.
You don’t have to be home for it to be collected, but the material must be on your own property (not the nature strip) and be easy to pick up.
