WINDSOR Golf Club hosted a free golfing clinic for women interested in taking up the sport on Tuesday, March 21.
Windsor Golf Club’s women’s captain Kay Rogers said the ladies were thrilled that 25 potential new players turned up on the day.
“The ladies were taught the basics of the golf swing by the Pro, Wayne Kesby before being divided into groups for chipping, driving and iron play.
“Experienced lady members helped out at each station. Lastly the ladies were taught putting.”
Rogers said further free clinics were on offer starting on April 4 for the women.
She added that anyone was interested in taking up the sport was welcome to join.
