P-plater charged

A Schofields woman, 18, has been charged with special range drink driving after the P1 licence holder was caught drink driving in Kellyville. 

Police patrolling the Kellyville area stopped a white Holden Cruz on Hennessy Way at about 10.15am on Sunday, March 19.

Officers reported smelling alcohol on the female driver’s breath.

A random breath test came back positive with a reading of 0.036.

The woman was given a field court attendance notice to appear at Parramatta Local Court on May 26.

Second drug caution for man

A Kellyville man, 19, was issued a drug warning after he was caught with cannabis in Kellyville.

Police stopped a white Honda Civic sedan on Green Road at 10.30pm on Thursday, March 16.

Officers spoke to the two men inside and one man admitted to owning a plastic bag which contained cannabis.

The drugs were seized and the man was issued with a second cannabis caution.

Police assaulted during arrest

A Riverstone man has been charged after he assaulted a police officer in Doonside. 

Blacktown police were called to a dispute in Scintilla Grove at about 9.40pm on Wednesday, March 15.

Police found the man, 39, with a cut to his hand. He was behaving aggressively and erratically.

Officers tried to calm the man, however he lashed out and attempted to hit one of the officers.

Officers managed to subdue and arrest the man before taking him to Blacktown Police Station where he was charged with assault police.

He is due to appear at Blacktown Local Court on April 6. 

Roof tiles stolen from home

About $3000 worth of roof tiles were stolen from a home in Kellyville.

Police said CCTV captured images of two men, both caucasian in appearance and about 30-years-old, loaded about 150 tiles into the back of a ute at the Odal Street home. 

The theft took place between 11.45am and 11.55am on Friday, March 17.
