Three Richmond athletes from Poletiques Fitness Studio made the trek to Melbourne at the weekend for the Australian Arnold Classic.
An initiative of Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Arnold Classic Australia Multi-Sport Festival featured live sports, health and fitness workshops and activities, and sports stars.
The three women competed in the Pole Fitness category of the competition, with Demi picking up third place in the Novice Division.
“I am so humbled to have been a part of the 2017 pole championship series at the Arnold Classic Australia,” Demi said.
“Simply being surrounded by so many talented, strong and positive people over the weekend was inspiring. The amount of support from the hosts of the event and other competitors was outstanding.”
Caitlin and Lisa both competed in the Advanced Division and said they have taken a lot away from the experience.
“My favourite part would be the overall atmosphere of the expo and meeting talented polers from around Australia in all divisions including the professional athletes who represent Australia internationally,” Caitlin said.
“I loved that the general public were exposed to what pole fitness is about as a majority of the crowd which included hundreds of people had never seen a pole fitness competition before,” Lisa added.
