Traffic and Highway Patrol officers have charged a man after he was allegedly caught riding a stolen motorcycle and in possession of drugs in South Windsor last week.
At about 8.30pm last Wednesday officers were patrolling the vicinity of Mileham Avenue when they saw a Harley Davidson motorcycle being ridden by a 34-year-old man.
Officers followed the bike for a distance before pulling it over near the driveway of a home in Batten Circuit.
The rider has stopped and allegedly ran from police.
Checks on the motorcycle revealed it was stolen.
The Police Dog Unit was called to assist with the search for the man. The dog located an amount of property that police allege was dropped by the 34-year-old, including identification and an amount of amphetamines.
Police attended a home on Glossodia Road and arrested the man. He was taken to Hawkesbury Police Station where he was charged with goods in custody, disqualified driver and supply prohibited drug.
He will next appear in court on Friday 12 May 2017.
