Thieves target home

Police are appealing for information about a break and enter at a home in Castle Hill.

Thieves ransacked a garage and stole $13,000 worth of items from the Crane Road home.

It is believed the burglary took place between 10pm on Friday, March 10 and 11.30am on Saturday, March 11.

Two bags, one with baby clothes and another containing kitchen equipment, were stolen. 

A wedding suit and motor cycle protection gear were also stolen.

Drink driver charged

A man will face court after he was caught drink driving on Old Northern Road over the weekend.

The Kenthurst man, 62, was stopped for a random roadside breath test at about 11pm on Saturday, March 11, where he returned a positive reading. 

Police said the man was taken to Castle Hill police station for further breath analysis, which returned a reading of 0.110.

He was issued with a field court attendance notice for mid-range prescribed concentration of alcohol.

The man is due to appear in Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday, March 29.

Intruder breaks into home

More than $1400 of property has been stolen from a home in Kellyville. 

It is believed the break-in occurred between 10.45pm and 11pm on Friday, March 10.

Police said someone broke into the house through an unlocked sliding door at the Wrights Road property.

Thieves stole bags and a backpack containing wallets, sunglasses and cash.

Final warning for man

A man has been issued a caution after police found cannabis in his possession in Kellyville. 

The Schofields man, 18, was spoken to by police on York Road at about 5pm on Friday, March 10.

Officers noticed an amount of cannabis in the middle console of the black Toyota. The drug was seized and the man was issued with a second and final cannabis caution.
