One man is dead after an accident between a bus and a car at Londonderry just after 8am this morning, Friday, March 10.
Five school students from the bus were treated by paramedics for minor injuries at the scene, with three taken to Nepean Hospital for further assessment.
Police have launched a critical investigation into the crash which occurred near the intersection of Londonderry Road and the Driftway.
The male driver of the car died at the scene. The driver of the bus was uninjured and taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
Prior to the crash, an unmarked police car was in the vicinity but the full circumstances of the crash is being investigated by a critical incident team from North West Metropolitan Region.
A crime scene has been established and will be examined by specialist forensic officers.
