CITY trainer Bjorn Baker claimed a double at Hawkesbury Race Club on Tuesday afternoon, with Forreel and Shock Alert both saluting at the track.
In all five city trainers won on Tuesday, while Orange’s Alison Smith and Kembla Grange’s Theresa Bateup also tasted success.
Hawkesbury trainer Scott Singleton had three-year-old gelding Itasca, ridden by Tye Angland, and three-year-old filly Shazee Lee, ridden by Christian Reith, bag second place finishes at the meeting.
Fellow Hawkesbury trainer Jason Attard had one second place runner in Sacamano.
Hawkesbury trainer Garry White’s Every Chance was ridden to third by Tye Angland behind Shazee Lee in the final race of the day, a 1400-metre class 1 handicap, won by Michael Freedman’s Hessdalen.
Baker’s Forreel, who started as a $1.60 favourite, won the opening race of the meeting, a 2000-metre benchmark 60 race.
Shock Alert also started as the favourite in the 1600-metre maiden plate the three-year-old gelding won.
