Battle of Vinegar Hill talk
Historian Lynette Silver and artist Lizzy Newcomb will talk on the battleand its impact on Hawkesbury history. Hear about the failed mini-rebellions, escape attempts, mutiny, wild rumours, betrayals and tragedy that resulted in the ill-fated battle. It’s at Hawkesbury Museum, Baker Street, Windsor on Saturday, March 4, the 213th anniversary, at 2pm. Cost $5. Book on 4560 4655.
High tea with Charlotte Smith
Enjoy a legendary high tea with Charlotte Smith, who will talk about the fascinating wedding gowns in the Here Comes the Bride exhibition. It’s on Thursday, March 9 from 1-3pm at Hawkesbury Regional Gallery. Cost $25. Book on 4560 4441.
Seniors Festival
Hawkesbury Central Library has some games that will help seniors keep their brain in shape as part of NSW Seniors Festival (formerly Seniors Week), it runs from Friday, March 3 to Sunday, March 12
Board Games Galore - Monday, 6 March 10am to midday. Challenge your friends to play a new game or revisit a favourite.
Brain Teasers – Tuesday, March 7 2-4pm. Give your brain a workout by playing fun puzzles and games to sharpen your mind.
Bingo – Friday, March 10 at 10am to midday. Catch up with friends and family for the Library’s bingo session.

Introduction to Family History
If you are constructing your family tree come to a free introductory session at Hawkesbury Central Library, Windsor on Tuesday, February 28, 6.30-8.30pm. The workshop will focus on the basics of genealogy, including some of the resources available and how it is important to work backwards with your research.
