Even better than the drive-in, Moonlight Cinema is the relaxing way to experience first-run movies and advance screenings under the stars at Centennial Park.
Coming up soon are advance screenings of Patriot’s Day (Feb 1) with Mark Wahlberg, Hidden Figures (Feb 3), with Kevin Costner and Kirsten Dunst, Denzel Washington’s Fences (Feb 5) co-starring Viola Davis, Loving (Feb 7) with Colin Firth and Fifty Shades Darker (Feb 8) with Jamie Dornan, Dakota Johnson and Kim Basinger.
Also coming is the Tom Cruise classic Top Gun (Feb 2), the new animated Sing (Feb 4), the animated hit Moana (Feb 11) and the Brad Pitt war movie Allied (Feb 12).
Screenings are in the open air and begin at sundown. Hire a beanbag or bring a picnic blanket and hamper.
There are different levels of tickets but everyone gets the five-star treatment from the super-friendly staff. Lie on a beanbag with your partner, sipping whatever you want to bring or buy.
Gourmet hot food is available to buy and there’s lots of free parking just a few minutes’ walk away.
It’s outdoors and will go ahead in most conditions. If cancelled (you’ll be told via text and email), tickets are transferable for another night in the current season.
