OVER 55 people went on short rides on Milo on Saturday as owner Bruce Holdsworth skippered 22 cruises.
Milo is a mini tugboat built by Mr Holdsworth, who hopes to start offering cruises across the Hawkesbury River very soon, pending approval.
Mr Holdsworth and his wife, Jude Holdsworth, offered free rides on Saturday, January 14, providing visitors with a unique experience on the tug.
“It was a really fun day as the guests were reminded of cartoon tugboats from childhood and the way Milo handles and does tight little turns made it a fun outing for everyone,” Mrs Holdsworth told the Gazette.
“Our mayor, Mary Lyons-Buckett, as well as former councillor Leigh Williams and our Member for Hawkesbury, Susan Templeman were among the many guests and friends who came to the picnic on the hill and had rides on Milo.
“Families with small kiddies in lifejackets and couples and singles all had lovely cruises. It was very hot but a little cooler on the beautiful river.
“We ate, drank, sang and cruised the day away.”
