BLIGH Park defeated Freemans Reach in the only match of Hawkesbury District Cricket Association’s first grade at the weekend.
Local cricket has returned after the Christmas break, with Bligh Park easily getting over the top of Freemans Reach.
Schofields unfortunately had to forfeit their match against North Richmond, while Riverstone had a bye.
Bligh Park captained Michael van der Reyden top scored for his club, making 61 runs as his team posted 228.
Mitchell Regan scored 41, including five boundaries and a six, as the second top scorer, while openers Luke Gordon and Andrew Bean made 25 and 28 respectively.
In reply, Freemans Reach could only manage 80 runs.
Daryl Amson top scored for Freemans Reach making 36 runs including six boundaries and another shot which cleared the rope.
Bligh Park’s Chris Lawrence took five wickets for his team, while Freemans Reach bowler Michael Andrews took four for his team.
