MACQUARIE Towns Arts Society is on fire in 2017 with not only its popular raft of school holiday workshops but a bus trip to the sumptuous Versailles: Treasures from the Palace exhibition at the National Gallery in Canberra.
The holiday workshops are held at Richmond Art Supplies, and give kids something fun and creative to do in the holidays.

Cost: $14 per two-hour workshop; all equipment supplied. It’s at Shop 10 Magnolia Mall, 285 Windsor Street. Book on 0412 979 731.
Bus trip: The bus trip to the National Gallery is on Sunday, January 22 and costs $60 including morning tea.
Once there you just have to cover your entry into the exhibition (around $25). The exhibition includes Marie Antoinette’s chair and harp, tapestries and paintings.
If you would like to visit the War Memorial instead you can be dropped there.
The bus leaves Richmond at 7.20am. The coach leaves the National Art Gallery for home at 4pm. If there will be a pickup from the War Memorial, time will be arranged.
