Extra recycling services over Christmas
You can put your recycling bin out on every garbage night over the Christmas holiday period instead of just fortnightly, Hawkesbury Council has advised.
The extra services will operate between Monday, December 26 and Monday, January 30.
Mayor Mary Lyons-Buckett said there’s always more waste over this period.
“Any households that struggle with the extra paper, boxes and bottles over Christmas and New Year will appreciate these extra recycling services,” she said. “It’s our way of saying thank you to residents for recycling.”
The service will occur on scheduled garbage collection days including public holidays. There will not be any changes to garbage and garden waste collection.
