A boy has died in hospital after a crash in Bilpin at the weekend.
About 3.45am (Sunday 27 November 2016), an eastbound Commodore sedan left Bells Line of Road and struck a tree, trapping the three occupants.
Police from Hawkesbury Local Area Command called SES and RFS volunteers to the scene to assist in releasing the injured; they were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics.
The 11-year-old boy was taken to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead where he passed away last night (Tuesday 29 November 2016).
The 45-year-old female driver and her 31-year-old male front-seat passenger were taken to Westmead Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Officers from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit continue their inquiries.
