PACK the lollies and popcorn and hop on board the artist bus to Bondi to see this year’s spectacular Sculpture by the Sea.
Organised by The Friends of the Hawkesbury Art Community and Regional Gallery for Sunday, October 23, it will be an easy and cheap way to get there without having to negotiate Sydney traffic or find a park.
“And you can enjoy the company of other art enthusiasts,” co-organiser and Richmond artist Deidre Morrison said.
This year’s exhibition is the 20th of the wonderful outdoor phenomenon, which runs from October 20 to November 6. The trail of sculptures follows the cliff edge for two kilometres from Bondi Beach to Tamarama Beach along an existing coastal walk. This year there will be more than 100 sculptures by artists from Australia and around the world.
Cost is $20 ($15 for FOCHACARG members). You need to book by October 11. Either send a cheque to FOHACARG, PO Box 462 Windsor NSW 2756 by then or contact Sheila on 4572 3039. Receipts will be given on the day. The bus departs from Hawkesbury Regional Gallery, 300 George Street, Windsor at 9am.
