HIT a snag while researching your family history? Or perhaps you’d like to begin researching your family, but don’t know where to start?
Hawkesbury Library Service is hosting some free family history sessions during October, designed both for family history newbies and people who have been researching for some time.
Family History Brickwalls: Have you got a problem you need help solving? Perhaps you need guidance with the direction of your family history research or finding relevant resources? This session might be able to help.
This session will take place on Tuesday, October 11 from 6:30 until 8:30pm. Booking are essential; phone 4560 4460 or email programs@hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au.
Portals To Family History: This session will be presented by Wayne Kedward on Wednesday, October 12. Mr Kedward will share share some of the opportunities and resources he has used to trace elusive ancestors, with examples from his own bizarre and curious family.
He will encourage you to think outside the square and expand on how some of these records may fill in the gaps in your research. Anyone interested in family and local history is welcome to attend, and bookings are not required for this session.
Both events will take place at Hawkesbury Library, located at 300 George Street in Windsor.
