A male has been left trapped in his car after colliding with a cow near Kurmond last night.
Emergency services were called to the Kurmond location around 7pm where they located the male trapped in his car with a head injury.
It is understood a number of cows had escaped from a property with the owner of the cows managing to get all but one back behind fences when the vehicle collided with the stray cow.
The vehicle after impacting the cow ran down a number of street signs before colliding heavily with a tree.
Volunteers from the NSW SES worked with paramedics to cut the driver from the car. He was assessed on scene before being transported to hospital.
The cow passed away at the scene as a result of its injuries.
