OVER 100 golfers graced the lawns at Richmond Golf Club on Monday, September 19, to support the club’s breast cancer charity day.
Over $9000 was raised for Hawkesbury charity Pink Finss, which supports people who have breast cancer in the region.
It was the fourth time the charity day has been run in conjunction with Pink Finss, with the grand total of money donated reaching nearly $40,000.
Richmond Golf Club’s Carolyn Lozier said it was a great day for the club.
“The golfing was relaxed and played in good spirit with assistant professional Ben Breckenridge teeing off for a small donation on the 10th for all players,” she said.
“After the game we got down to the serious business of raising more money with raffles, balloon prizes and silent auctions.”
She said the winners on the day were the Smik team of Trevor, Jed, Gary and Dave and the best ladies team was from Wallacia: Maureen Tagg, Shirley Owen, Denise Chant and Ruth Murdoch.
