THE Hawkesbury Jets and Sydney Kings have struck up an official association, which will energise young players according to Hawkesbury Basketball secretary Stacy O’Toole.
Kings player Julian Khazzouh will make regular appearances at Hawkesbury Basketball Association events thanks to the association between the two clubs.
Stacy O’Toole said it was fantastic that Khazzouh would be a familiar face around the association.
“It is pretty exciting for us to have Julian because he is one of the bigger profile players. He is the favourite player of one of my sons,” she said.
“To meet players of that calibre is always a big deal for the kids.”
O’Toole said juniors would get the most out of the association.
“It will be really good for our junior competition, the kids always love that interaction with the players," she said.
“It is something they used to do a lot, and it fell off for a while and they are starting it back up again, which is great.”
The kings are trying to raise their profile ahead of their season opener on October 8.
