THE Nor-West Jets’ first grade team lost its elimination final at the weekend, but will have another chance to redeem itself this week in the semi-final.
The Jets went down to the Wollondilly Knights 8.7-55 to 4.5-29 in the AFL Sydney division three elimination final at Blacktown International Sports Park on Saturday.
The Knights smothered the Jets’ opportunities to attack, with the Jets managing just two behinds in both the second and final quarters.
The Jets will now face the Campbelltown Blues at Kanebridge Oval on Saturday, kicking off at 12.10pm.
The Jets finished the regular season comfortably ahead of the Blues on the ladder, however, the Blues did manage to knock the Jets off once during the regular season.
The match is a must win for the Jets, who will go home empty handed should they lose to the Blues.
If they will they will face either Wollondilly or the Pennant Hills Demons in the preliminary final the following weekend.
