Samuel Gilbert Public School students are bringing an Olympic-sized spirit to their fete preparation this year, with this year’s Great Fete coming up on August 21.
Students were invited to enjoy a mufti day last week, dressing in ‘Olympics, Rio’ themed mufti to celebrate the upcoming Fete day.
Over 1000 Krispy Kreme glazed ‘rings’ will be on sale at Samuel Gilbert Public School alongside an International food court, 15 carnival rides, market stalls and much more all in the hopes to raise money for the school.
The Great Fete is now one of Sydney’s biggest school fetes with around 8000 visitors a year.
“Our international food court is always a huge attraction and this year we have Korean, Spanish, Italian, Turkish, potato on a stick, hot chips and wedges, gourmet burgers, churros, Kidz Canteen and Krispy Kreme donuts by the dozen,” the Great Fete Sponsorship Coordinator Kara Atkinson said.
“Yellow Brick Road Baulkham Hills, Castlehaven Realty and Big Fun Camps are all on board as our Principal Sponsors. The attention and support for our school from our local community is just phenomenal.
“All funds raised go directly back to our children and our school, it’s a very busy and exciting time and a sensational community event to be a part of,” she added.
The Great Fete proudly takes the mantle as the biggest one-day community event in Castle Hill. It’s a fun, day out that attracts visitors from across the Hills district and beyond.
