Taylor Swift back in LA after two weeks on the Gold Coast

The 26-year-old singer, who flew into Coolangatta to much local media fanfare two weeks ago, has been photographed walking to a gym in Los Angeles alongside her new beau Tom Hiddleston.

Swift followed Hiddleston to Australia as the British actor had filming commitments for his upcoming movie, Thor: Ragnarok.

It is understood the couple flew back to Swift's hometown via Hawaii after Hiddleston's filming was completed.

On the whole, it is unlikely Swift will leave the Gold Coast with particularly fond memories.

While the first week of her trip was all Italian restaurant dinners and visits to the children's hospital (with a tiny amount of drama wth ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris, for good measure), the second week was probably ruined by the release of tapes which appeared to show Swift had lied about Kanye West asking her permission to include her name in his song, Famous.

The tapes, which made international headlines when they were released by West's wife Kim Kardashian earlier this week, appear to show West asking Swift over the phone if she is okay with the lyrics, specifically confirming the line: "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex."

When the song was released in February, Swift denied West had ever cleared the lyrics with her.

In a passionate Instagram post after Kardashian leaked the tapes on Snapchat, Swift maintained that West had never run another line - "I made that bitch famous" - past her, and that was the line she had taken offence to.

"Being falsely painted as a liar when I was never given the full story or played any part of the song is character assassination," Swift wrote, adding that she would "very much like to be excluded from this narrative".

Despite the tense atmosphere of the past few days, Swift seems to not be too down.

The singer took to Instagram again on Friday, to share a birthday message to a longtime member of her girl squad, Selena Gomez.
