DON’T want to use chemicals on your vegie patch or farm? Come to the Natural Farming Workshop at the EarthCare Centre at Richmond on Saturday, July 30 from 10am - 2pm.
Explore concepts of 'natural' growing and how to grow biodiversity on the peri-urban fringe. What is organic farming? What is permaculture? Learn how to improve water quality, soils and biodiversity on your patch.
Convenor Eric Brocken will cover all your questions about the vast array of farming systems available to responsible land managers. Many examples are currently functioning at the EarthCare Centre.
Eric has spent a lifetime exploring many ways to manage land and has practical experience in many countries with different approaches to farming.
An organic farming inspector, teacher, consultant, and permaculture expert, Eric will give you an understanding of how sustainability is built through social, economic and environmental means.
The centre is on the corner of Campus Drive and Beef Cattle Road at Western Sydney University, Richmond.
Booking is essential on 0438 731 712. Cost is $10 or you can barter gardening time or other useful things. Cost includes morning tea, and lunch with fresh garden harvest.
