LEARN pet photography techniques, get a magnet mad of them, get them washed or get advice from a dog behaviourist at this year’s Hawkesbury Companion Animal Shelter Open Day on Saturday, July 30.
Organised by the shelter staff, the day will include animal-focused market stalls, a mobile dog wash, a dog massage therapist and a dog behaviourist.
Visitors can also turn Fluffy into Picasso by painting their dogs’ paws on canvas which has been a very popular activity at past events.
There will also be free microchipping for Hawkesbury residents only, between 9am – 10am.
People with ex-shelter dogs are particularly welcome to bring their pet.
Dog pictures will be taken with a Christmas in July theme and turned into a magnet and a pet behaviourist can tell you where your training is going wrong.
It’s at 10 Mulgrave Road, Mulgrave. Enquiries: 4560 4644. from 9am to midday, as a launch event ahead of Local Government Week.
