IF YOU’RE part of a community program, Hawkesbury Council might have some help for you – whether it’s money, expert help or goods or services, but you’ve only got until July 1 to apply for help this year.
Council’s Community Sponsorship Program covers any Hawkesbury-based community organisation, business or individual wanting to undertake activities that address the needs of the community, as identified in Council’s plans.
It also covers individuals who are representing the Hawkesbury at a state, national or international sporting or cultural event.
Council will assess the applications and provide sponsorship to support activities or events which will benefit the residents of the Hawkesbury within the available resources.
The purpose of Council’s sponsorship program is to enable community groups and individuals to access resources that would otherwise be unavailable to them. These resources could include:
Financial - direct funding
Human - advice, skill or expertise of Council staff
Material - goods or services.
