A Falcon surfer has reportedly lost part of his leg following a shark attack on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident happened just before 4pm at Gearies with the alarm raised at the popular surfing beach.
The rescue helicopter has been called but the man is understood to have been taken to hospital by ambulance.
The City of Mandurah has closed the beach.
