A woman in her fifties has been airlifted to Westmead Hospital after a ute and a sedan collided in Grose Vale this afternoon.
CareFlight’s rapid response helicopter was called to Grose Wold Road shortly after 3.30pm and landed at a property close to the scene of the collision.
The woman had chest injuries and CareFlight’s specialist doctor and intensive care paramedic treated her on scene before airlifting her to hospital in a stable condition.
Unconfirmed reports from a photographer were that two other people – a child and an adult – were taken to hospital by road ambulance, and that one of the cars had rolled on impact.
Volunteers from the SES worked to free the trapped occupants from the vehicles while paramedics worked to stabilise them. Police are in attendance at the scene and are working to investigate the collision.
The Gazette rang Windsor police at 5.40pm but the officers involved were still at the accident.
