Quakers Hill Local Area Command has now moved to the new Riverstone Police Station, located at 4 Elizabeth Street, Riverstone.
Member for Riverstone, Mr Kevin Conolly said the brand new station provides the Quakers Hill Local Area Command with a more spacious and better equipped facility from which to operate and serve the community.
“The new larger station has been built to accommodate more officers as future deployments reflect the growth occurring in the region,” Mr Conolly said.
The vacated building at Quakers Hill is being refurbished and prepared for the Police Transport Command and other regional response teams to take up residence in the near future.
“The Police Transport Command officers will soon be a common sight coming and going from Quakers Hill railway station, and travelling on Richmond line services.
“As a result, there will be more police in the Riverstone electorate and I believe this is a big win for the safety and security of our community.”
Anyone wishing to contact police or report a crime can now call the new phone number (02) 9838 2199 or attend the Riverstone Police Station at 4 Elizabeth Street, Riverstone.
Meanwhile, the previous phone number for Quakers Hill Police Station has been diverted to Riverstone Police Station.
For people who arrive at the old Quakers Hill building there is a phone located outside the entrance which is connected directly to the Riverstone Police Station.
“The Police will patrol the area covered by the LAC in the same way as they do now, responding to calls from wherever the crew is at the time.
“I want to take this opportunity to thank our local Police for their great work on our behalf. They’ve endured cramped and difficult conditions for some years at Quakers Hill and I’m delighted that they will now have better facilities from which to work.”
