IT WAS one of those days where things just did not work for the Nor-West Jets as the club’s first grade team went down to Campbelltown 8.11-59 to 6.8-44 at the weekend.
The huge win against Penrith the week before saw a number of injuries and those players missed this week’s clash, and the club had to call on a number of its reserve graders.
Jets coach Casey Wenselowski said he could not fault the effort of his team, but unfortunately, the Jets just could not piece things together in AFL Sydney’s division three match.
“It was a hard fought game on a big ground. At the end skills was a major factor that let us down and cost us the game in the end,” he said.
“Campbelltown took their opportunities and they probably had a bit of a higher skill level. We wasted our opportunities with turn overs.”
The Jets will host the undefeated Wollondilly this week, and should have some reinforcements for the clash, as players game return from injury.
