THE Windsor Wolves will host a reunion for past players and officials at its leagues club on Saturday, May 28.
People from far and wide with links to the club with return to have a beer and relieve fond memories from back in the day with each other.
Among them will be Terry Saunders, whose 90th birthday was yesterday, who played a big role in the club after World War II.
Saunders is one of the oldest remaining Wolves and many of the players he coached over the years in the 1970s and 1980s will be at the reunion as well.
Paul Wayling has been organising the event, and said plenty of players from the 1969, 1988, 2005 and 2008 premiership winning teams will be on hand at the club, while there will also be plenty of team of the century players as well.
Wayling said team of the century members Chris Walker, Ron Phillips, Keith Sunderland, Richie Grech, Tito Nuimata, Ray Robinson and Vaughan Humphreys had all confirmed they would be there for the night.
There is sure to be a big crowd at the leagues club and in the stands for the two senior games on Saturday.
The festivities will kick off after the end of the Ron Massey Cup match between the Wolves and St Mary’s.
There will be a short presentation between the Sydney Shield game, which starts at 4pm, and the Ron Massey Cup, starting at 6pm.
The club wants as many past players, coaches, officials and administrators as possible to attend.
