THE Hawkesbury Hawks received so much needed reinforcements at the weekend, which led to a 1-1 draw with the Granville Rage at the weekend.
The Hawks have been missing a number of players thanks to suspension and injury over the start of the season and were glad to have their services in the club’s round five NPL 3 match.
Ben Gough, one of the formerly suspended players returned a scored a goal for the side, while coach Dean Bertenshaw said Mick McCrory and Prash Sharma’s returns also helped.
He said Johnny Ekehov played a great game at the back for the Hawks.
Tonight, the Hawks play Sydney United in the FFA Cup.
The team will need a bit of luck against the undefeated NPL 1 team, which could feature a number of former A-League players.
The match starts at 7.30pm at Bensons Lane and is sure to draw a large crowd for the knockout match.
