POLICE have charged a man, 27, with the murder of Michelle Leng, who was found naked and stabbed to death in the Snapper Point blowhole on Sunday.
Strike Force Elise investigators had on Friday formally identified the woman as Michelle Leng, also known by her Chinese name Mengmei, a 25-year-old international student from China.
But by about 1.20pm on Friday afternoon, police had arrested a man, 27, at Campsie police station and charged him with Ms Leng’s murder.
He will appear in Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday.
It is believed the two were known to each other, police said.
Ms Leng was reported missing by a relative to Campsie police on Monday.
