ENJOY beautiful gardens, plants, live music, children's activities, farm animals, Hawkesbury radio, market stalls and family fun at The Secret Garden Autumn Fair & Plant Sale on Sunday, May 7.
The team members behind The Secret Garden and Nursery - which is located at Western Sydney University’s Hawkesbury Campus - are inviting the community to join them to celebrate the beautiful colours of Autumn and welcome the new season.
“The Autumn Fair is an opportunity to add beautiful colour to your garden with hundreds of cottage plants, herbs and unique plants for sale at great wholesale prices,” said event coordinator, Marianne Farrar.
Visitors can meet the resident pigs, chickens, ducks and farmyard animals, as well as enjoy homemade treats including freshly baked scones, coffee, cakes, jams, candles, crystals, honey, herbal products, gems, jewellery, bee hotels, and old fashioned wares.
The Secret Garden & Nursery is a not-for-profit community garden run by North West Disability Services connecting plants, nature and farmyard animals for people with a range of abilities.
For over twenty years a large team of volunteers have been growing plants and gardening on the five-acre site, with the funds from their retail nursery plants going back into the Horticultural Therapy Program.
The Fair will take place from 9am until 4pm. Parking and entry are free. The Garden is located on College Drive (enter via Bourke St) in Richmond.
