Three remote area firefighters from Hawkesbury District Rural Fire Service, part of a larger multi-agency contingent, have been deployed today to help battle the Tasmanian bushfires.
This deployment is for a period of five days and is part of an ongoing request from Tasmanian authorities for assistance.
Six Hawkesbury officers have just returned home from Tasmania in recent days, as NSW RFS rotates specialist officers in and out of Fire ravaged state.
