Police are investigating after the BP on Putty Road at Wilberforce was held up by a man wielding a machete this morning, February 9.
Police received the call for assistance at about 6am after reports the man entered the store, threatened the shop assistant with the machete before fleeing with an unknown amount of money and roughly 30 packets of cigarettes.
The only description police have of the mans vehicle is that it was a dark coloured sedan.
Detectives and forensics attended the scene and investigations are ongoing.
