Entries for the 2016 Sydney Eisteddfod are now open.
The complete syllabus is available from the Sydney Eisteddfod website and as usual it is packed with classical and contemporary events for singers, dancers, musicians, composers, actors, dance troupes, drama groups, bands, choirs and orchestras.
The 2015 Sydney Eisteddfod was a huge success, according to organisers.
Over the decades, the Hawkesbury area has produced some outstanding winners and last year was no exception, with the B Team from Roar Talent, Grose Wold, taking top honours in the contemporary event for 4-9 dancers and their A Team finishing second in Jazz for the 4-9 age group.
Performing in public builds confidence, so if you dream about making a career in the performing arts, want to test your skills before highly adjudicators or simply experience the thrill of appearing on stage, the Sydney Eisteddfod is a great place to start.
Most of the 35,000 solo and group entrants who grace its stages each year regard taking part in the Sydney Eisteddfod as an exciting adventure in learning.
Whether they place or not, most take pride in following the path trodden by some of Australia’s greatest artists.
Enter online at sydneyeisteddfod.com.au. Entries close on March 14.
