Wakeboard New South Wales hosted the fourth event of their summer series at Windsor at the weekend.
Hawkesbury wakeboarder and two time junior world champion Nic Rapa made an appearance at the event to compete in the open pro division.
He said it was great to see wakeboarding was on the rise in New South Wales.
“It was good. We’re starting to get a lot more new faces there which is cool, it means the numbers are growing,” he said.
“It is just a little grass roots events for NSW so it was good to go down and see the little kids down there and I managed to come away with the win. It was a really fun day.
“I was in the open pro division with five people in and I had a good run to take out the event.”

It was Rapa’s first event of 2016, and his second event will be this weekend at the Jam Festival at Cliftonville Lodge at Lower Portland.
Rapa said he was looking forward to the wakeboarding and music event.
“It will be a really good event. I'll be there as will my friend Harley Clifford who is open world champion,” he said.
“We'll be down there riding and putting on demos and meeting plenty of people so it should be real fun.”
