Hailed a great success when it was staged live at the Sydney Entertainment Centre, the 2015 Schools Spectacular will be screened on the Nine Network from 7pm on Saturday night.
It will be repeated on sister station Gem from 12.30om on Saturday, December 12.
Included in the huge production crew were students from: Bilpin Public, Colo High, Colo Public, Freemans Reach Public, Riverstone High, Rouse Hill High, Rouse Hill Public and Windsor Park Public schools.
Creative Director Sonja Sjolander said this year’s event was a great success and the result of a massive team effort.
“Everyone shines as a star,” she said. “And each of our stars will have something to remember forever.
“After 32 years, they were in the last Schools Spectacular at Sydney’s Entertainment Centre and join the likes of The Wiggles, Cold Chisel, John Farnham and Elton John for the last shows ever there.
“This was one of our best Schools Spectaculars ever, but there was a real buzz of excitement knowing we were making history.”
Schools Spectacular has been acknowledged by the Guinness Book of Records as the biggest entertainment event of its kind in the world.
With the theme This is Our World, this year’s Schools Spectacular featured 2000 dancers, a 1500-voice choir, an 80-piece symphony orchestra, fantastic rock, jazz, brass and marching bands and soloists.
The televised version of the performance will show how each segment was complemented by state-of-the-art lighting, amazing graphic effects, pyrotechnics and professional sound.
