There’ll be movement at the station as the word had got around – that the race club on Sunday was the place to go.
This Sunday, November 29 is Hawkesbury Heartstart’s International Food Fair and all the food stalls will be bumping in early, and there will be plenty of them – nearly double the number who come to other events.
Besides the bewildering array of food stalls from all over the world – Spanish, Indian (north and south), South American, New York, Anatolian, German, Turkish plus many more, there’ll also be a major raffle with prizes from the much-loved artist John Shields, Tizzana Winery, Hawkesbury Race Club Motel, Fruition Tuition(out of school learning), Regent Theatre, and other private donors.
Tickets for free CPR lessons will be given to everybody attending as they enter. The CPR Endurance contest is ready and competitors are expected from the Parramatta and Penrith Rugby League communities as well as through Hawkesbury sporting channels.
Then on Monday at the Race Club there’ll be Take Heart Australia’s Guinness World Book of Records attempt at most people trained in CPR, part of a statewide attempt.
The RAAF Base Richmond are sending a team of doctors and nurses to act as CPR trainers for the students as well as trainers from Ambulance NSW.
The RFS are bringing some RFS Cadets and there are some RFS Cadets coming from Hawkesbury High School.
Both events are 10am-4pm. Come and be part of a major community event.
