Former Hawkesbury Cricket Club player Stephen O’Keefe will play for New South Wales, not Australia.
O’Keefe was included in a 13-man squad for the third test match against New Zealand, which starts today, November 27, in Adelaide.
The test match is a day-night game, and O’Keefe’s Sheffield Shield experience with the pink ball, to be used in the test match, thrust him into the selection frame.
However, O’Keefe will turn out for New South Wales today, as Australia elected to go with three fast bowlers and just the one spinner, Nathan Lyon.
