Hawkesbury Council will establish a tourism working group, which will seek community input to create tourism strategies in the Hawkesbury.
At the November 24 Council meeting, Council briefly discussed a report, which recommended forming the group.
The purpose of the group is to guide Council’s decision making on tourism.
The group will contain up to eight people, with up to two councillors permitted to be in the group, with the balance to be made up of people from the local tourism sector.
The group try to identify opportunities for more tourism, further develop current tourism attractions and collect data on tourists, among other things.
