THE Hawkesbury Hawks are shooting for a third straight win in the Sydney Metropolitan Baseball League this weekend.
The Hawks will host Rouse Hill in their fourth game of the season, and have been off to a flying start, after a hitch in week one.
Hawks player Luke Gray said the team was unsure what to expect from Rouse Hill.
"In my experience over the last few years Rouse Hill teams have had consistent pitching and good batting," he said.
"We haven't played Rouse Hill so far this season. However, we have won the last two games and will be looking to make it three in a row.
"Everyone in the team has been hitting and our fielding has been really solid, so if we can keep this up we should win
"It should be a tough, competitive and exciting game. For the last few seasons Rouse Hill have had similar line ups as have we, so there is some rivalry amongst the teams."
Gray said last season's most valuable player John West was returning for his first game for the season, and was hoping he would have an immediate effect on the team.
"I expect he will be looking to show why he was last seasons MVP," he said.
The Hawks will host Rouse Hill at Bensons Lane at 1pm on Saturday, October 10.
