A NATIONAL Disability Insurance Scheme information session takes place in Richmond on July 15.
The NDIS, providing federal support for people with disabilities and their carers, is being introduced throughout Australia in stages over several years.
It was recently launched on a trial basis in the Hawkesbury, Penrith and the Blue Mountains.
‘‘We’re heading into a new world with the NDIS, so it’s important that individuals and their families have access to accurate and relevant information about how the scheme will work,’’ a Cerebral Palsy Alliance therapy manager, Leanne Clayton, said.
The NDIS information session takes place 10-11.30am on Wednesday, July 15 at the Richmond Club, corner of East Market and Francis streets, Richmond.
