No temple at Winford’s
IN RECENT weeks the Gazette received several enquiries from residents asking whether a temple or religious building will be constructed at the site of the old Winford Motors on Windsor Road at McGraths Hill. Council’s director of city planning, Matt Owens said Council records indicated there had been no pre-lodgement meetings or applications lodged with Council for the old Winford Motor caryard site.

THE Gazette reported in December 2014 that a community liaison committee had been established as part of the EPA licence for Elf Farm Supplies operating in Mulgrave. In an attempt to start an effective way to communicate between the community and Elf Farm Supplies, the CLC has established a phone line for community members who wish to make a complaint about odour they think may originate from Elf Farm Supplies. You can call 1800 155 079 to make your complaint or go to the website www.elfclc.org, which includes what is being discussed at CLC meetings, the committee’s Terms of Reference and a feedback page where you can contact the CLC or leave complaints. The CLC meets on a quarterly basis.
Inc. groups survey
NSW Fair Trading Commissioner Rod Stowe is encouraging the public to participate in a survey which is part of a review of the Association Incorporation Act 2009. The Act affects more than 36,000 community and not-for-profit associations registered in NSW. Fair Trade Commissioner Rod Stowe said ‘‘Fair Trading will look for ways to cut red tape and reduce the administrative burden on volunteers running these groups.
