HUNTER residents have flocked to Newcastle Jockey Club in their thousands to be covered from head to toe in brightly coloured powder for the ‘‘happiest five k on the planet’’.
Participants in Newcastle’s third Color Run had their white clothing covered in food grade cornstarch as they ran, walked, crawled and wheeled their way around the racecourse on Sunday morning.
Everyone who crossed the finish line was given a packet of coloured powder that they were invited to throw into the air simultaneously at the finish festival, where they could also enjoy a DJ and music.
