When Buddy Goode says he’s coming to town best be prepared for a night of politically incorrect hootin’ and hollerin’.
On Saturday night the man of mirth will set up camp at the Fitzroy Hotel in Windsor.
Buddy first surfaced via the Australian country music scene in 2008 with his album, It’s All Goode.
Songs like, Dutchy In The Morning, You Ain’t Mine and One Night In A Bangkok Bar, became instant favourites for a small, but what has turned out to be extremely loyal group of devotees.
He returned in 2011 with another album, The One And Only Buddy Goode, which included a new batch of instant classics like Unforgiving Wind, Dickens Cider and Cougarville.
Following the album Buddy took his show on the road and had audiences laughing and singing along with his bawdy tunes at venues around the country.
Among his tour highlights were festival appearances, including CMC Rocks the Hunter alongside many A-list American country acts. Arguably, Buddy’s place in Australian music history was solidified in 2012, when he won the ARIA for Best Comedy Release for the album Unappropriate.
Included in the new set were subsequent live favourites She Blows Upon Me Flute, Play This Song On The Radio and Happy Ending. According to his Facebook page, Buddy is currently recording new material.
Entry to his show at the Fitzroy is free.
The hotel is located at 161 George Street, Windsor.
