Seven-year-old Jacob Currant can now go on outings with his family.
Jacob, of Hobartville, has cerebral palsy and is unable to walk long distances unassisted.
But a new mobility stroller, donated by Richmond Lions Club, has changed his life and the lives of his parents, Ross and Georgina Currant and older sister, Maddie.
The stroller can hold weights of up to 90 kilograms and travel over rough surfaces, such as sand or stones.
‘‘Our whole family life has improved,’’ Mrs Currant said.
‘‘We can go for long walks now.’’
Richmond Lions’ secretary Maureen Ingram said helping families in the Hawkesbury such as the Currants was what the club was devoted to doing.
