"How come now you're such a cow?"
Yes, these words did actually come out of the mouth of Eurovision hopeful Guy Sebastian to his wife Jules, but it was all part of an apparently staged spat for her online show Tea with Jules. The result, however, was nothing short of uncomfortable.
Sebastian's churlish interview with his wife may have been intended as a joke, but instead it just felt like being caught in an awkward marital spat.
Things turn sour in the interview when Jules asks the singer about his time on Australian Idol and his famous afro.
"Really? That's your question?" Sebastian asks, clearly unimpressed. "That's your opening question? I've been asked that a million times."
The questions became increasingly personal as Jules asks her husband about women who appear in his music videos.
"It's part of my job babe. What are these questions?" the singer replies, calling her questions "weird" and "awkward".
While the interview may have been a set-up to promote the online TV series, it's almost hard to tell as Jules appears to be on the verge of tears.
When the topic turns to Sebastian's weight, the Australian Idol winner finally storms off set and has to be coerced into finishing the interview.
It's then that he rips shreds off his stylist wife.
"Jules, you've got nice chairs and flowers and cameras and that everywhere. You've got your own show. How come now you're such a cow?
"Who did I marry? Who is this chick? What happened to the nice girl from Holden Hill in Adelaide that I married?"
There's no doubt the married couple's acting chops help make the clip so convincing, but some of the topics definitely appear a little too close to home.
