If you’re in need of some family entertainment this weekend, why not consider a Picnic Under the Stars.
Organised by local rotarians as a fundraiser, the event will be held on Saturday at Australiana Pioneer Village.
There will be plenty of rides and entertainment to keep you busy.
All proceeds collected on the night will be donated to Richmond Peppercorn Services, which provide not only family services, but also provide early childhood services and community transport.
The idea for the event sparked after Peppercorn Services met with Rotary’s Kurrajong and North Richmond branches.
Rotarian Vivienne Blair said Peppercorn was deserving.
‘‘They do great work with their transport services and it’s really important to acknowledge that - Peppercorn need the money,’’ Vivienne told the Courier.
Children will be able to go on unlimited rides on the night for $10 or single ride tickets for $5.
Riverland Harmony Chorus will be providing entertainment as well as other musical acts.
To make a booking email filltheirtanks@gmail.com or call Rotary on 0421 434 718. Rides start at 5pm and go till 7.45pm. Entertainment will be on from 6pm to 10pm. It’s BYO food, wine, picnic blankets and chairs. Entry is $25 per person, with children under 15 entering for free; or $200 for a group of ten adults. Australiana Pioneer Village is on Rose Street, Wilberforce.
